The municipality of The Hague has expressed the ambition to make all buildings in the city climate-neutral by 2040 at the latest. S&P helped the municipality to involve residents and entrepreneurs in this ambition, through the elaboration of a communication strategy, the organization of an energy summit and a public event.
The communication strategy contained the core values, key messages and answers to the questions that live in the city.
The Energy Summit took place on February 2, 2018, when 19 different parties put their signature under their joint ambition: making 25,000 homes climate-neutral over the next five years.
To introduce the public to sustainable energy, we organized the Hague Energy Safari. On 15 February 2018, 15 special locations in The Hague opened their doors to show what sustainable energy looks like. The visitors saw with their own eyes where clean energy is generated.
