European Projects - SeRaMCo

Secondary Raw Materials for Concrete Precast Products

Long-term development

Communication activities

Concrete is the second most consumed material in the world after water. Its widespread use gives rise to a correspondent high quantity of waste generated, which is generally directed towards road filling. SeRaMCo aims at recycling construction and demolition waste -CDW - to produce new concrete for production of concrete precast products - CPPs.

SeRaMCo has a market-oriented approach: the final CPPs produced with CDW will need to be commercialized. Schuttelaar & Partners leads the work package ‘Long Term Effects’, which will prepare the ground to introduce these innovative green products in the construction market in North-West Europe. Alongside this role, Schuttelaar & Partners also substantially contributes to the communication and dissemination activities of the project.
